About Me
I've been singing and writing music since I can remember. I learned how to play guitar at summer camp as a teenager and play mostly just to accompany myself singing (which is why I should really have bandmates who are more skilled at guitar). I love harmony and am inspired by everyone from Joni Mitchell to Taylor Swift. I practice law during the day and perform music at night and on weekends. I dabble on the drums and piano, but my passion is singing. My songs reflect my own life as well as characters from books I've read.
I live in Redwood City and perform every second Sunday of the month at a little café called Chez Nous. I play in exchange for pastries (they are seriously good), and any tips I receive go to CASA of San Mateo County, which is a non-profit I volunteer for that works with foster kids and kids in the juvenile justice system. I grew up in Cairo, Egypt and went to Colby College in Maine, and UC Hastings for law school. Music isn't my life, but it's my love.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested in performing with me (I'm looking to sing with someone who loves harmony as much as I do), getting together for a jam session, or having me perform at an event. You can contact me at laurammazza@hotmail.com.
